Welcome to the 119th edition of #SHILLzine! As we let that number sink in for a moment, we can't help
but reflect on the incredible journey we've had since October 2021. For almost two years now, we've been
chronicling the highs and lows, the rugs and blue-chip collections, and all the remarkable developments in the
#Solana space.
From the very inception of the first mints, we've been an integral part of the #Solana community. Our first
issue featured @glitchstroke, followed by @digitize_ai in issue 2 and @soliconsnft in issue 3 - a testament to
our commitment to showcasing Solana artists.
Each edition of #SHILLzine serves as a 'snapshot' of the #Solana ecosystem at a specific moment in time. We

The biggest weekly gainer is @FidelionNFT with a 36% move, followed by @photofinishgame &
@CyberFrogsNFT. @SharkyFi continues to lead NFTFI as the overall volume decreases there @MagicEden took
the lead in the past 7 days with a slight edge in market share.
Sniper and TIEXO
In general, collections didn’t dip as much as before, but due to the lack and downtrend of volume, there was no
big movement. The floor prices of the top 50 collections are a mix of red and green as smaller collections had
some gains while big ones took more hits.
Compared to the previous week, lending and borrowing volume is down over 25% as it becomes riskier to lend
and harder to borrow.
@SharkyFi leads the NFTFI niche with over 70% market share, but Citrus and @frakt_hq are holding well with

regular improvements on both.

Generally, all major cryptos have been stable during the
past 7 weeks with slight ups and downs. SOL is currently
down 13% from past week which also feels on the NFT
market sentiment. Coin to watch is none other then
$DOGE as @Twitter rebrands to become the “everything
app”.
There have been some major events affecting the market:
Kuwait has banned crypto and virtual assets transactions
Black Rock Bitcoin ETF application has advanced
Valkyrie’s spot BTC ETF proposal has been accepted by the
SEC for review.

Next week is extremely crucial for crypto and traditional
finance as we have the following high impact events. Announcements

reports on July 25.
European Central Bank interest rate decision will be announced
on Thursday, July 27.
The US GDP will be released on Thursday, July 27. Along

This may or may not surprise you, but Solana DeFi isn’t dead. Over the last 30 days the TVL of all the largest Solana
DeFi applications has shot up. And many newer applications are seeing their metrics rise sharply.
Over the last year and a half, Solana DeFi got crushed for many reasons:
• Network instability (probably the biggest reason - DeFi can’t have downtime)
• FTX collapse.
• Low float high FDV model allowed for no communities to form around the previous DeFi apps
The Solana Foundation shipped many updates, which has made a noticeable difference to performance. Regarding
the most prevalent problem of network instability, well, Solana is actually outperforming rollups.

now emerging and looking to establish their communities with innovative reward programs.
DeFi summer in 2020 generated many life changing opportunities and the blue chip DeFi apps were established during

What is Solana Token 2022?
Solana Labs has released an extension to the native SPL token program, Token-2022. Token 2022 is an experimental
new standard that extends the SPL token program and adds additional functionality.
The Token-2022 program is designed to be a more flexible and extensible token standard that allows for more
complex tokenomics and control for developers.
Token-2022 is an advanced token program on the Solana blockchain, extending the capabilities of the existing Token
Program. It’s designed to offer developers enhanced flexibility and additional functionalities without compromising
the safety of current tokens.

This program encompasses all features of its predecessor (it maintains compatibility with the original Token instruction
and account layouts) while providing new instructions and functionality. These extensions introduce new fields in mints
and accounts.
New functionality requires new fields in mints and accounts, which makes it impossible to have the exact same layout for
all accounts in Token-2022. New fields are added in the form of extensions.
Mint extensions currently include: ►confidential transfers ►transfer fees ►closing mint ►interest-bearing tokens
►non-transferable tokens
Account extensions currently include: ►memo required on incoming transfers ►immutable ownership ►default
account state Extensions can be mixed and matched, which means it’s possible to create a mint with only transfer fees,
only interest-bearing tokens, both, or neither!
There are currently ONLY 7 tokens that have adopted the new token 2022 standard for SPL’s on Solana. I’m pretty sure
good builders will create amazing things with this new standart. Let’s see what will happen next.

Hello Reader, lovely to have you here again in The Creative (Writing) Corner. This
week we will be highlighting another one of the five poetic structures. Do you
remember the five structures? Let me jog your memory: meter, rhyme, scheme,
verse, and stanza. The importance of this particular poetic structure is often
forgotten because it's not as fancy or as sing song-y as some of the other
structures like meter and rhyme. The structure I’m referring to is stanza. A stanza
is a group of lines that form the basic metrical unit in a poem (sometimes
recurring). Stanza is a cool girl so she also has a second name! A stanza which is
just a grouping of lines in a poem is sometimes referred to as a verse and you will
see the argument for the connection of poetry to music simply based on this term
verse.
When you look at a song–even the lyrics on your iPhone as it's scrolling through
while you're listening to one of your favorite songs–it’s there even in that
technology that songs are written in stanzas. There are different names for
stanzas in music as well, like the chorus or the bridge, which then will connect you
to a verse or once again to the chorus, which are all just stanzas.

The stanza allows you to logically break up your writing into sections that guide
the reader to your final point. There are many poems that use stanzas stacked on
top of each other one after another. Just like there are some poems that only
consist of very few lines making one stanza. Even one line of poetry could
technically be a stanza. The beauty of it all is that as the writer you will make your
choice! Even though this poetic structure is often overlooked, we can see that it’s
of vital importance. Remember choosing your words wisely and exactly where
they go on the page is your superpower as a poet.
SO PUT ON YOUR ROSE COLORED GLASSES WITH ME AND IT'S TIME TO PRACTICE!

Step 1: Get out your black ink pen and notebook or your notes app is just fine. The
first step is where we choose our topic. This week my topic is super meta… I'm
choosing poetry as my topic, so let's see what shakes.
Step 2: The best step of all here is where you can be very imaginative and begin
to brainstorm ideas about how to present your thoughts to the reader. This step is
kind of like those Mad Libs you used to play as a kid! Here I go: misunderstood and
mocked. oh that poetry nonsense is dead. who even reads poetry anymore?
Step 3: Now that you have your topic and a few ideas this is the step where you
begin to draft your poem! You will choose a rhyme scheme (or not), how many
lines to include, do those lines also form separate stanzas? In this step I often like
to choose a poetic structure that will challenge my normal way of writing. The
only way to become a better writer is to practice using different poetic structures.
Practicing these structures will help you determine your own Artistic Cadence as a
poet. The more information you know about your poetic superpower the more
you can use it! My structure this week will be 3 stanzas that reduce by 1 line down
to a final stanza of 1 line.
Step 4: Here is the final step! All things must come to an end just like this poem.
Wrap up your ideas in a way that is unique, something only you can create. As
you begin to craft more and more poems your tone and voice will become more
apparent to you as a writer. You may already know your unique Artistic Cadence!
Do not deviate from your Artistic integrity!

This week, I had the honor of curating for @h_o_o_d_s!! Armed with the task of spending 5 SOL on Art pieces, I
quietly used one of my sub-accounts to bid on pieces I deemed worthy of the HOODS Art Vault! Here’s what I’ve
added below:
Starting off with an absolutely stunning digital piece by @lc_illustrates, titled “Harmonia”, I needed to not only
mint a couple for myself, but also for the HOODS Vault!! This was the only edition piece purchased. Beautifully
done.

bid on “MPFF2305” by @Rachel_p5js for this very reason! One Word: Museful.

is captivating is an absolute understatement! It was marvelously
executed!! Titled “COSMONEUROTICA”, I’m sure
you can see why I wanted to add this one to the HOODS
Vault so badly!! Amazing work!!!
Last, but certainly not least, I collected “Resyel” by @
NorahsGr.
A beautiful painting with some eye-catching digital detail
added! An Artist originally recommended to me by @
suga_skies, came to realize this small Artist has plenty of
amazing work waiting to be bid on!

safekeeping! This was very fun (as always)! Special thanks

Spotlighting the futuristic illustrator Nova LightSilver
Ruminator
Based in West Africa, Nova’s passion for drawing took
off in 2020 when he embraced digital art. At first it was
sketchbook on his mobile phone, but he quickly transitioned
to drawing on a tablet. This allowed him the
freedom to explore his love of futuristic and cyberpunk
concepts. Nova’s fascination with advancing technology
and robots is evident in First minted series “NecroMecha”,
February 2022, when he first joined the Solana Art Community.
Since then, he has created another six collections,
all futuristic in concept, often incorporating fantasy landscapes.
In his most recent series “Robo Chefs”, his first on
mallow.art, Nova deviates a little from his signature style,
introducing a culinary flavour, along with a sense of fun.
Skunk is an experimenter. Never satisfied to just splash
paint on a canvas, skunk takes a blow torch to acrylics and
resin with remarkable results.

The Gang was looking to smooth out our social posts, find branding and a logo aesthetic that matched our vibe.
With the work of @AbbieSolana, let’s take a quick tour of @The_Barrows new look, a little “Good Clean Fun”
First let’s look at the OG assets; our logo was created by @Resistt_ and it’s awesome. So much so, when deciding
on a new logo, we more or less kept it. This fella embodied a lot of The Barrow spirt and played with the vision of
the 0rphans. We just cleaned him up.
Our OG Banner used an iconic photo immortalizing America’s most notorious couple: Bonnie Parker and Clyde
Barrow. The @SCUMSOL, very early days reached out, our branding was a mess. He offered this idea, we ran with
it, “Good Clean Fun” was born.

Taking what we already had in place, using colors we pulled from The Barrows’ characters themselves (The Red is from
Topo’s overalls) we set a target on “Good Clean Fun” And ended up with something we’re proud of:
Simple black and white tones with a rich red to grab our eyes. The palette reads clean and simple, just as it should.

In the end, we decluttered our logo, made him a pfp to
represent our brand. Removed the photo imaging of our
banner and leaned into “Good Clean Fun” Thanks for reading,

The Solana foundation regularly releases updates regarding

The Solution?
‘Marinade Native’ staking combines the best features
of both — allowing SOL to be staked across an index of
validators(instead of 1), in a noncustodial manner with no
smart contract risk. All while preserving the expected APY
of around 7%.

contracts to be written in Python. This week, Solana became
even more accessible with the release of Solang —
enabling Solidity devs to build on the chain as well.

Solidity is the programming language used by Ethereum
devs, meaning that Solana will become a potential option
for a broader range of blockchain developers.
This first half of 2023 saw both decreases in average block
time (indicating higher speeds for a single transaction) and
increases in both the average and maximum transactions
per second.

In 2022, Solana experienced some outages during periods of high activity. Several upgrades in addition to new processes
for software rollouts were implemented in response to this, and since then the network has continued to perform well.
Other items of note include:
1. The introduction of compression, which drastically reduces the cost of minting NFTs — enabling more use cases for
NFTs aside from the traditional PFP.

drip_haus. Huge milestones are being achieved despite the
performance of the crypto market, and that is something we
should take pride in.

Rather than taking a risk
on the future, we compete
for the crumbs of a
shrinking pie.
O ur reliance on the belief that the speculative bubble
will re-emerge and come back 10-fold during the 'next
bull-run' — whenever that may be — means that we will
never solve the core issue.
Risk and Experimentation are the only things that can
save us now.
We need a leap of faith that aims beyond the immediate
metric of satisfying floor-price hungry 'shareholders'.
