INTRODUCTION<br />
TO LITERACY<br />

This class is for students who cannot read and<br />
write in their first language and/or have not<br />
yet learned to read and write in English to<br />
sufficiently support their language learning.<br />
Students will be introduced to the sounds and<br />
letters of English, sight words and basic grammar.<br />
Upon completion of this course, students will be<br />
able to more fully participate in the ESL class that<br />
corresponds to their oral fluency. Students will<br />
need to buy a textbook for the class.<br />
