Primitive Casting Workshop<br />
Join us for a workshop on the amazing world of old<br />
world casting techniques. The workshop is for both<br />
beginners with no experience and repeating casting students.<br />
Cuttlefish casting is an ancient technique used in<br />
Mediterranean countries as well as Germanic cultures in<br />
the seventh century, among others. We’ll also pouring<br />
metals into brooms, water and other primitive molds to<br />
produce stunning, unique pieces or elements you can<br />
use in your other work.<br />
Precious Metal Clay (PMC)<br />
Workshop<br />
Join us for a workshop on the amazing world of<br />
Precious Metal Clay. Learn to shape, roll, pattern, and<br />
mold this unique material. Embed lab grown gems and/<br />
or paint on leaves then kiln fire the metal clay into your<br />
own bronze objects and jewelry.<br />
$40 Kit fee includes 100 grams bronze PMC or white<br />
copper. Silver PMC available for additional purchase.<br />
We will provide everything else you need from tools to<br />
firing.<br />

Monotype with Chine Collé<br />
In this fun two-day class with experienced printmaker<br />
Susanne Smith, learn how to print unique monotype<br />
prints with added decorative and homemade papers.<br />
A demonstration will show how to color your own print<br />
paper to create collage like techniques in your image.<br />
Beginning to advanced welcome. The instructor fee<br />
includes a selection of thin chine collé papers to use<br />
during the class, ink, paint, glue, and printing tools.<br />
Materials fee: $25 (cash, payable to instructor at first<br />
class). Printmaking paper: $6/sheet from the Art Center.<br />
