In this Inspiring workshop you’ll create art using a blend
of mediums, collaging techniques, found objects from
nature, and words. Trust your intuition as you combine
textures, colors, and patterns, incorporating elements
from the natural world. Through poetic language, you’ll
infuse your art with meaningful expression. Unleash

11x14 mixed media pad
Glue and/or modge podge
A set of brushes
A set of water color (pan form is best, does not need to
be high quality)
A set of multi-colored markers
3 black sharpies
3 fine tip illustration markers (black)

Primitive Casting Workshop
Join us for a workshop on the amazing world of old
world casting techniques. The workshop is for both
beginners with no experience and repeating casting students.
Cuttlefish casting is an ancient technique used in
Mediterranean countries as well as Germanic cultures in
the seventh century, among others. We’ll also pouring
metals into brooms, water and other primitive molds to
produce stunning, unique pieces or elements you can
use in your other work.
Precious Metal Clay (PMC)
Workshop
Join us for a workshop on the amazing world of
Precious Metal Clay. Learn to shape, roll, pattern, and
mold this unique material. Embed lab grown gems and/
or paint on leaves then kiln fire the metal clay into your
own bronze objects and jewelry.
$40 Kit fee includes 100 grams bronze PMC or white
copper. Silver PMC available for additional purchase.
We will provide everything else you need from tools to
firing.

Monotype with Chine Collé
In this fun two-day class with experienced printmaker
Susanne Smith, learn how to print unique monotype
prints with added decorative and homemade papers.
A demonstration will show how to color your own print
paper to create collage like techniques in your image.
Beginning to advanced welcome. The instructor fee
includes a selection of thin chine collé papers to use
during the class, ink, paint, glue, and printing tools.
Materials fee: $25 (cash, payable to instructor at first
class). Printmaking paper: $6/sheet from the Art Center.
