A LOOK AT OUR STUDENTS
Rachel Turley, a 2022
graduate from New
Orleans, served as the vice
president of alumni relations for FMA.
Rachel was instrumental in structuring the
alumni mentor program and was an active
mentor herself to several younger members.
“I loved spearheading the Alumni Mentor
Program for three years,” she says. “This
allowed me to get to know the mentees and
touch base with our alumni mentors. As a
senior, Thompson Green was a great help,
and I was excited to see him take the reins
after I graduated and continue to build the
program.”
Always grateful, Rachel describes how
FMA impacted her time at Auburn: “There
are several ways in which FMA provided
me tools, resources, and friendships that
would last a lifetime,” Rachel says, “but
truthfully, the driving force is the culture.
“The ‘Auburn Family’ sounds cliche, but I
found just that in FMA. My peers supported
me in my journey - not only academically,
but in my personal development as a student
on Auburn’s campus. From Tracy’s support,
which encouraged me to pursue my dreams,
to the adrenaline felt when celebrating an
Auburn win with FMA friends at Toomer’s…
the Auburn Family is your support system.
That is what I found in FMA.”
During her sophomore summer, Rachel
interned with Arlington Capital Advisors in
Birmingham. “I really enjoyed the internship
with Arlington,” Rachel says, “the experience
solidified my decision to pursue a career
in investment banking.” During her junior
summer, Rachel interned with Jefferies in
Boston, where she accepted a full time offer
with their Automotive Aftermarket Group.
“The Jefferies internship was challenging,
and the work was interesting – plus, I really
enjoyed the team members. After working
hard, it’s such a great feeling to come into
your senior year with a full-time offer.”
Prior to heading to Boston, Rachel hiked
the final stage of the Camino Frances del
Camino de Santiago in Spain. She continues
to be an engaged alumnus – even traveling
to New York to meet the students for the
annual city trip in the spring of 2023.
