A Look at
2021-2022
What a rewarding year to guide the FMA leadership team. Our most
momentous task was getting the financial lab and leadership center out of
the pitch deck and onto the architect’s desk. Having accomplished this
goal, we continued to push for program excellence – which, this year, was
recognized at the international, national, and university level. As always,
the most valuable resource that this organization has is its members and
alumni. As a team, we collaborated to achieve these strategic initiatives
and the results that follow in the rest of this annual.
1. Named Organization of the Year at the 2022 AU Student Involvement
Awards
2. Recognized by FMA National as Superior Chapter for fourth year in a row
3. FMA co-president, Kennedy Jarvis wins President’s Award for HCOB
4. 100% full time job placement for 22 seniors
5. 100% internship placement for 24 juniors
6. 79% internship placement for freshmen and sophomores
7. Recorded an average starting compensation for the 2022 graduating class
of $142,500
8. Obtained Board of Trustees approval for a $2.8 million state-of-the-art
investment center
9. Partnered with NYC graphic designer to establish original drawings for
center and worked with HCOB leadership to secure architect and complete
build plans
10. Received course credit approval for students participating in the most
rigorous case competitions
11. Revised and produced FMA Career Guide to help all finance students with
a career road map for success
12. Took first place nationally for the third year in a row at the KROLL
YOUniversity Challenge
13. Took first place internationally ($15,000 prize) for the second year in a
row at at the KROLL YOUniversity Challenge – rising above 221 initial
competitor teams
14. The future for this group is bright, and we know that the next leadership
team is in a great position to advance this organization. We look forward
to coming back and seeing the years of pitching, planning, and design
brought to life in the new investment center.

FMA 2021 – 2022 Co-President, Kennedy Jarvis, joined FMA as a
freshman and graduated with a 4.0 in Finance. Kennedy was recognized
with the esteemed Phi Kappa Phi award as a junior, and the President’s
Award for the HCOB spring 2022 graduating class. During her time
in FMA, Kennedy participated in the elite Girls Who Invest national
program, was Co-President of ASIF, completed three internships, and
upon graduation, joined Moelis in NYC as an investment banking
analyst in their Consumer Group.
FMA 2021 – 2022 Co-President Jonathan Hu served many leadership
roles in FMA, including Co-President of ASIF. Through the mentorship
and resources he found in FMA, Jonathan was able to complete three
internships across asset management, M&A, and energy investment
banking with CRI Capital Advisors, Vulcan Value Partners, and Credit
Suisse. After graduating with honors, Jonathan joined Citibank full time
in Houston and now works in their Sponsors Group in NYC.
