A Vibrant Arts
Community
Take a break from the sand
and surf and get to know
New Smyrna’s cultural side.
Everyone knows New Smyrna Beach has beautiful
beaches, but the community’s vibrant
arts scene is just as notable. Whether you
prefer a live theatre performance or enjoy an
afternoon of browsing art galleries, you’ll find
ample opportunities to enjoy artistic expression
in this coastal escape. At The Hub on
Canal visitors can experience everything from
writing classes and music lessons to artists
lectures and art lessons. Since 2012 this
busy arts center, aptly named The Hub, has
inspired the community with classes, events,
and creativity. This spring they merged with
Jane’s Art Center to deliver even more offerings
to visitors and members. Today, the
center serves as an incubator for more than
70 artists. The annual Holiday Gallery of
Gifts, Razzle Dazzle fashion show and chalk
art competition are signature events not to
be missed. Nearby, in the historic district of
New Smyrna Beach, you’ll find Jane’s Art
Center which comprises both Jane’s Gallery
and Jane’s Clay Studio. The Gallery features
works of art from national and international
artists and visitors can browse the permanent
collection or any of the temporary exhibitions
on offer each month. The Clay Studio
is a full-service ceramics center that offers
open studio time, group, and private classes.
