Jewelry Workshop: Sterling Silver
Stacker Ring
Learn jewelry fabrication basics in this 4-hour crash
course and take home a sterling silver stacker ring with
a stone. You’ll learn sawing, filing, soldering, stone-setting,
and polishing. Our wonderful jewelry studio is
outfitted with all the tools and equipment to make your
own unique ring. This course will be taught by Sarah
Ellison, who studied the craft of metalsmithing at this
studio and now runs her own Etsy shop.
Sterling silver for one stacker ring is included in workshop
fee. Instructor will provide a variety of stones
priced between $5-20/each (cash/Venmo).

Floral Arranging Workshop:
Mother’s Day
Create a special Mother’s Day “fascinator” hat using botanical
materials. Mom can wear her hair accessory and
feel special all day. This creation will have a very short
shelf life (think 1 - 2 days), this is due to the fact that the
floral materials will not have any available water.
This workshop is a great way to spend some time having
fun playing with flowers. In the end you will leave with
a professional looking arrangement that you made
yourself.
Materials fee of $45 includes all materials, so all you
have to do is show up and you will leave with something
truly special. No experience is necessary.

Monotype Workshop
Make monotypes with experienced printmaker Susanne
Smith. Each workshop starts with a short
demonstration of monotype techniques followed by
supervised print time. Each artist will be encouraged to
work on their own ideas, to produce one of a kind
images—from plate to paper—on the hand-pulled
etching press. All experience levels welcome. Come and
try out the giant press! Solvent free classroom.
Oil-based etching ink is available or bring your own
favorite ink.
Materials fee: $25 (cash, payable to instructor at first
class). Printmaking paper: $6/sheet from the Art Center.

Large Format
Monotype Workshops
Explore large format monotypes with printmaker
Susanne Smith. In this supervised open session work
on your own images and ideas with gusto. We will use
Plexiglass plates and a hand-pulled printing press to
create our unique images in a variety of monotype
techniques. Each workshop will have a short
demonstration on a relevant technique for monotype,
followed by open time for printing.
Materials Fee payable to instructor: $25
Printmaking Paper available at the Art Center: $6-$8 per
sheet depending on size
Please bring these supplies: apron, gloves, rags,
sketchbook, pen/pencil, fine Sharpie, chopstick/dowel,
image reference materials, paint brushes
