The Opéra Royal de Wallonie
one of the three main opera houses in Belgium.
A place of creation, life and exchanges on
an international scale. It has an Italian-style
hall with more than 1,000 seats. In addition,
its stage machinery is perfectly adapted to
current techniques making it one of the most
modern theatres in the world !
The ORW attracts more than 100,000
spectators each season.
Grand Curtius
This remarkable architectural complex takes
you on an exciting journey to the heart of
the museum’s five prestigious collections :
glass, weapons, archaeology, religious arts,
Mosan art and decorative arts. There are
rich testimonies of the first civilisations,
masterpieces of Mediaeval art, sculptures
and baroque metalwork, not to mention the
outstanding Glass and Weapons collections
that make the Grand Curtius one of the leading
world museums in this field.
7,000 years of Liège’s art and history are
represented by 5,200 objects displayed
chronologically and thematically.

Orchestre Philharmonique Royal de Liège
The OPRL performs in Liège, in the prestigious
setting of the Philharmonic Hall (dating
back to 1887), throughout the country (in
Antwerp, Brussels, Charleroi, Hasselt, Mons,
Namur, Saint-Hubert, Saint-Vith, Virton, etc.),
in major cinemas and at festivals in Europe
(Amsterdam, Paris, Vienna, Spain, Switzerland,
France, etc.), as well as in Japan and the United
States.
The only professional symphonic
ensemble in French-speaking Belgium.

Maison du jazz
which is defined as a centre for documenting,
performing and promoting jazz.
Musée Grétry
This museum, situated in the house where
Grétry was born, looks back at this illustrious
artist’s life and work.
Archéoforum
located under Place Saint-Lambert, this is one
of the largest urban archaeological sites in
Europe (3,725 m²). From Prehistory to the most
recent periods, each stage in the history of
Liège is illustrated by archaeological remains,
which are both movable and immovable.

You can discover the foundations of the old
Saint-Lambert Cathedral, the remains of
an old Gallo-Roman villa and the traces of
ancient prehistoric occupations.
