OVERVIEW OF CHINA The Single engine Airbus Helicopters AS350/H125 family was the most popular model operating in China with a fleet of 127, very closely followed by the Bell 407 with 125 in operation. These were all operational in the EMS role before the shutdown of King Wing. Some 16 new Bell 505s were also in storage with no known operator. These were “delivered” between 2019 and 2022 and yet to enter service. While Single engine models continued to account for the largest shares of major OEM’s fleets in China, Leonardo had a more evenly distributed fleet share with its twin-engine models.
