Certificate in Industrial Studies<br />
<strong>The</strong>se programmes are designed to provide an<br />
opportunity to those engaged in the relevant<br />
industry to gain an in-depth knowledge on the<br />
subject <strong>of</strong> specialisation. No formal educational<br />
qualifications are required for admission to the<br />
Certificate programmes.<br />
<strong>The</strong> minimum duration <strong>of</strong> the Certificate<br />
programme is one year.<br />
<strong>The</strong> OUSL awards the Certificate in Industrial<br />
Studies to students who have acquired 36<br />
credits satisfying the requirements given in<br />
Table 08.<br />
Those who possess appropriate qualifications<br />
may seek exemptions from relevant courses <strong>of</strong><br />
the programme. <strong>Student</strong>s who are employed<br />
and working in an environment that would<br />
satisfy the training requirements <strong>of</strong> the Faculty<br />
and those who have previous training could<br />
seek exemption from the specific training<br />
modules.<br />

/<strong>Tamil</strong>) - Only at Puttalam Study Centre<br />
<strong>The</strong> compulsory course requirements for<br />
specialisation in a particular field is given in<br />

53.<br />
