Day 1 – Wed: Dublin & Kilmainham Gaol<br />

Start at Dublin Airport with a group transfer to<br />

your hotel between 7:00 am and 12:00 noon.<br />

At 2:00 pm tour the city center to see prominent<br />

places and visit Kilmainham Gaol. Meet your<br />

fellow travelers over a welcome drink.<br />

Day 2 – Thu: Ancient Tombs & Irish Night<br />

Learn about the 5,000-year-old tombs of Knowth<br />

and Newgrange and visit one of them. Return<br />

to Dublin where the afternoon is at leisure for<br />

shopping or sightseeing. Drive to a fun pub for a<br />

hearty dinner and traditional Irish songs. (B, D)<br />

Day 3 – Fri: Dunbrody & Waterford Crystal<br />

Drive to New Ross to visit the Dunbrody Famine<br />

Ship, a replica of a sailing vessel built in 1845 to<br />

transport emigrants. <strong>Tour</strong> the House of Waterford<br />

Crystal for a demonstration of glass blowing and<br />

cutting before driving to Cork. (B, D)<br />

Day 4 – Sat: Blarney Castle & Killarney<br />

Visit Blarney Castle to kiss the famous “Stone of<br />

Eloquence” and shop at the Blarney Woollen Mills.<br />

Drive into County Kerry and through Kenmare. Stop<br />

at Moll’s Gap for great views and continue along<br />

part of the Ring of Kerry route into Killarney. (B, D)<br />

Day 5 – Sun: Dingle Peninsula <strong>Tour</strong><br />

Explore the scenic Dingle Peninsula. Admire views<br />

of heathery mountains, sandy beaches and rocky<br />

headlands. Pause in Dingle before continuing to<br />

the Blasket Centre in Dunquin to learn about the<br />

offshore Blasket Islands. Return to Killarney. (B, D)<br />

Day 6 – Mon: Flying Boats & Cliffs of Moher<br />

Travel to Foynes to learn about the early days of<br />

flight at the Flying Boat Museum. Drive to Bunratty<br />

for free time before viewing the Cliffs of Moher,<br />

that rise 700 feet above the Atlantic Ocean. Drive<br />

around Galway and check in to your hotel. (B, D)<br />

Day 7 – Tue: “Quiet Man” & Connemara<br />

Drive to the village of Cong where “The Quiet Man”<br />

movie was made in 1952 for a guided walk around<br />

movie locations. Drive through Connemara for<br />

views of misty mountains and shimmering lakes,<br />

stopping at Kylemore Abbey and Clifden. (B, D)<br />

Day 8 – Wed: Country Life & Belleek<br />

Travel to Castlebar to the Museum of Country Life<br />

which displays articles used in everyday life. View<br />

W. B. Yeats’ grave in Drumcliffe Churchyard and<br />

visit Belleek Pottery Factory to see fine china-making.<br />

Continue through Donegal to Derry. (B, D)<br />

Travel to Belfast for a panoramic tour with a local<br />

guide. Head to Kingscourt to your castle hotel,<br />
