Day 1 – Thu: Bunratty & Medieval Banquet
Start at Shannon Airport and transfer to your
hotel. This afternoon you are at leisure to rest
after your journey, explore Bunratty Folk Park
or visit Durty Nelly’s near your hotel. Join
your fellow travelers for a welcoming drink
and head to Bunratty Castle for a medievalstyle
banquet. (D)
Day 2 – Fri: Cliffs of Moher & Irish Coffee
See the Cliffs of Moher which rise 700 feet
above the pounding Atlantic surf. Cross the
River Shannon by ferry and visit the Flying Boat
Museum to learn about the early days of air
travel and make a perfect Irish coffee. Drive to
Killarney and check into your hotel. (B, D)
Day 3 – Sat: Ring of Kerry &
Muckross House
Discover Ireland’s most popular scenic drive –
the Ring of Kerry. Admire constantly changing
vistas of mountains and coast. Visit the Skellig
Experience to learn about the rocky islands.
Travel through Sneem and Moll’s Gap and tour
19th century Muckross House and Gardens. (B, D)
Day 4 – Sun: Blarney Castle & Cobh
Drive to Blarney Castle to kiss the “Stone of
Eloquence” and shop at Blarney Woollen Mills.
Visit the Cobh Heritage Centre, which traces the
history of emigration. Continue to Waterford and
enjoy a gentle walk with a local historian. (B, D)
Day 5 – Mon: Waterford Crystal &
Glendalough Monastic Site
Tour Waterford Crystal to see glass blowing
and cutting. Travel north to visit the 8th century
monastic site of Glendalough. Continue to Dublin
and enjoy dinner and traditional entertainment at
one of Dublin’s popular venues. (B, D)
Day 6 – Tue: Dublin & Kilmainham Gaol
Tour Dublin city center to see some of the
elegant Georgian townhouses, St. Stephen’s
Green, O’Connell Street and more. Visit
Kilmainham Gaol to see how penal establishments
were operated in past centuries. Take
an open-top bus tour in the afternoon and
visit Guinness or Jameson. (B)
