Day 1 – Sat: London & Welcome Dinner
Tour starts at Heathrow Airport with a transfer
to your hotel. At 2:30 pm take an orientation bus
tour around central London. In the evening meet
your tour director and fellow travelers over a
welcome drink before dining in your hotel. (D)
Day 2 – Sun: Tower of London &
City Sights
Take an open-top bus tour around central
London to see famous landmarks. Travel at your
own pace and take a walking tour and River
Thames cruise, if you wish. Visit the Tower of
London to view the magnificent Crown Jewels
and many fortresses. You are free to choose a
restaurant to dine independently. (B)
Day 3 – Mon: Jane Austen’s Bath &
Cardiff Castle Banquet
Drive to Bath, popular for its natural hot springs
with the Romans 2,000 years ago. Bath was
home to Jane Austen from 1801 to 1806. Take
a walking tour to view Regency houses, Pulteney
Bridge and Bath Abbey and visit the Roman
Baths and Pump Room. Travel into Wales for
a panoramic drive around Cardiff, Wales’ proud
capital. Head to Cardiff Castle for a tour and
a fun Welsh banquet. (B, D)
Day 4 – Tue: Brecon Beacons &
Portmeirion Village
Drive through the lovely expanses of Brecon
Beacons National Park, a region of gentle hills.
Stop in the market town of Brecon and continue
north to visit the Italianate village of Portmeirion,
a charming resort with winding streets and
woodland gardens. A short drive will take you
to Caernarfon, where the Prince of Wales was
invested in 1969. You may like to look around
the market square and quaint buildings. (B, D)
Day 5 – Wed: Castles of North Wales
& Snowdonia
Today tour North Wales, starting in Llandudno
to walk along the seafront lined with elegant
Victorian buildings. Also stop in Conwy to view
its castle and pause for photos of Snowdon, the
Llandudno

Museum which tells about the hardships of this
region’s slate industry. Tour the massive walls
and battlements of Caernarfon Castle, built in
1283 by Edward I as a military stronghold and
a palace. (B, D)
Day 6 – Thu: Llangollen &
Stratford-upon-Avon
Drive to the charming village of Llangollen before
heading across the English border for a look
around the picturesque town of Bridgnorth. Drive
to Stratford-upon-Avon for a panoramic tour and
visit Shakespeare’s Birthplace to see an exhibition
about his life and the house where he was
born. Check in to your Tudor-style hotel. (B, D)
Day 7 – Fri: Cotswolds & Windsor Castle
Drive through the Cotswolds and stop in
Broadway, typical of the lovely old villages in
the region. Take a walking tour through Oxford
to learn about the city and the most famous
colleges. Tour Windsor Castle, one of The
Queen’s official residences, to see the State
Apartments and St. George’s Chapel. Check in
to your hotel for a farewell dinner. (B, D)
Day 8 – Sat: Tour Ends Heathrow Airport
Transfer to Heathrow Airport to arrive at 7:00 am
or 10:00 am in good time to check in for your
flight home. (B)
