Experimental essay about Man, Tragedy
and Natural Forces inspired by Sendai’s
tragedy, the most affected city by the
earthquake of 9.0 magnitude in Japan. 10
thousand persons were killed, more than
15 thousand are missing. The images of
the Tsunami that followed it terrified the
world.
Kokeellinen kuvaus ihmisestä, tragediasta
ja luonnonvoimista. Tarina on saanut
inspiraationsa Sendain kaupungin
tragediasta. Juuri siellä Japanin 9.0
magnitudin suuruinen maanjäristys
vaikutti eniten. Kymmenen tuhatta
ihmistä kuoli ja yli viisitoistatuhatta on
kadoksissa. Kuvat järistystä seuranneesta
tsunamista järkyttivät maailmaa.

The two punks, Mark and Sonny, are best
friends. They have always stuck together
and with no family around, they are all
they have got. The self-destructive Sonny
doesn’t mind their pointless life in the
rough suburbs, but Mark is longing for
something more. When Mark gets the
chance to move to the big city with his
girlfriend, he finds himself in a dilemma.
Kaksi punkkaria, Mark ja Sonny, ovat
parhaita kavereita. He ovat aina pitäneet
yhtä ja koska he ovat perheettömiä,
heillä on vain toisensa. Itsetuhoista
Sonnya ei haittaa heidän merkityksetön
elämänsä karussa lähiössä, mutta
Mark kaipaa jotain muuta. Kun Mark
saa mahdollisuuden muuttaa isoon
kaupunkiin tyttöystävänsä kanssa,
hän huomaa olevansa ongelmallisessa
tilanteessa.

Daniel, a 10-year-old Ethiopian kid, roams
alone the streets of Addis Abeba by night.
He is one of 170,000 children without
family who inhabit the city. During his
nightly wandering, Daniel encounters a
group of street children who live in an old
abandoned taxi. He asks them if he can
sleep there, but the children steal the little
money that he has on him and chase him
away.
10-vuotias etiopialainen lapsi Daniel
vaeltelee Addis Abeban katuja öisin.
Hän on yksi 170 000:sta kaupungissa
asuvasta perheettömästä lapsesta.
Yöllisen vaelluksensa aikana Daniel
kohtaa ryhmän katulapsia, jotka elävät
vanhassa, hylätyssä taksissa. Hän pyytää
heiltä lupaa yöpyä taksissa, mutta lapset
varastavat Danielin vähäiset roposet ja
ajavat hänet tiehensä.
