Dedeman Hotels to Promote Palandöken Ski Resort<br />
Dedeman Hotels group has speeded up promotion efforts for Turkey's<br />
eastern ski resort Palandoken, which is set to host 2011 World University<br />
Winter Games. Mehmet Varol, director general of the Dedeman Hotel in<br />
Palandoken, said the promotion campaign would focus on capturing the<br />
attention of tourists and will cover major cities of 16 countries including<br />
Spain, Britain, Germany, Japan, Greece, Italy, Russia and Azerbaijan.<br />

OTI Organizes “Sun Partners Antalya Tourism Festival”<br />
The Odeon Tourism International (OTI)<br />
Group will organize the “Sun Partners<br />
Antalya Tourism Festival” with the participation<br />
of 3000 tourism professionals from<br />
21 countries. Ayhan Bektas, CEO of OTI<br />
Group organized a press conference to<br />
give news about what is new at OTI. Bektas<br />
started the conference with the good outlook<br />
they have received in Moscow's MITT<br />
exhibition. Bektas said that Odeon Tours of<br />
the group has welcomed 20% more guests<br />
to its stand compare to previous year. He<br />
said the OTI Group had increased its total turnover to $400 million and foreign<br />
currency inflow in Turkey to $250 million in 2006. Bektas announced<br />
that they would organize the “Sun Partners Antalya Tourism Festival” on<br />
May 15-16, 2007. During the festival the managers of travel agencies and<br />
tour operators will have opportunity to meet with accommodation and services<br />
providers in Turkey. Bektas stated that this year's event will be organized<br />
every year so that the promotion will contribute to the development of<br />
Turkish tourism. He said that Antalya's Kaleiçi region in particular would be<br />
promoted to the visitors of the festival. Nearly 2,500 tour operators and<br />
agency managers from Russia, Poland, Ukraine, Azerbaijani, Kazakhstan,<br />
Georgia, Rumania, Lithuania, Estonia, Moldova, Uzbekistan, Italy, Albania,<br />
Kosovo, Macedonia, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Iran and Germany and 300 representatives<br />
from Turkey are expected to join the festival. During the festival,<br />
Shaman Dance Group and Tarkan will give a concert at Kaleiçi.
