Summary of main activities
Established in 1980 in Istanbul INTRA TOURS-DMC provides a range of incoming travel and
incentive services and is the flagship of Intra Group which comprises of 4 companies involved
in several branches of tourism in Turkey.
Organisational structure
INTRA TOURS-DMC has a destination based organisational structure, with departments specialised
in incoming from main destinations; accompanied with a dedicated incentives department.
Headquartered in Istanbul, Intra's branch and operational offices are located in key
coastal cities namely Antalya, Bodrum and Kusadasi. At the main office in Istanbul a crew of
25 very efficient and dynamic individuals works year round, handling all kinds of operations
from individuals to large groups.
Business Strategy
INTRA TOURS-DMC has been quite successful predominantly in Mediterranean Europe and
moved hundreds of thousands of tourists to Turkey from all over the world. In the recent years
we have started also serving the North American, North & East European and Middle Eastern
clientele and already moved thousands since our decision to expand into these markets.
Intra is a major member of Turkish Travel Agents Association (TURSAB) with rankings in
the top 50's in annual revenues through the recent years, and it aims to place itself among
the top 10 incoming tour operators in Turkey in the long-term future by securing its position
as the leading incoming operator from Italy and Spain while establishing major presence in
the new markets.

KARAVAN has been active in the tourism industry since 1969.
The company is owned and managed by the Baltazzi family,
which has a long tradition of hospitality in Turkey. Sultan
Abdul Mecid was a guest in their Izmir (Area) home in 1850
as was Sultan Abdul Aziz in 1863. Aristide Bey Baltazzi was
officially recognised for his contribution in organising the
first international exhibition in Istanbul (The "Osmanli
Sergisi" - "The Ottoman Exhibition") in 1863, which created
the first tourism group movement ever to Turkey. To these
experiences and traditions the Baltazzi family has added
modern methods and technology to create the KARAVAN
GROUP of today with its divisions of Karavan MICE, Karavan
Incoming, Karavan Mar each of them leaders in their sector.
