Organizations). IFAT held its first international conference in 1991 to focus on market<br />

IMO is an international agency for inspections and certifications. <strong>The</strong>ir program, <strong>Fair</strong> For<br />
Life, certifies products that meet FLO’s <strong>Fair</strong> <strong>Trade</strong> standards. Headquarters are in<br />
Konstanz, Germany.<br />
LFTN: Local <strong>Fair</strong> <strong>Trade</strong> Network (http://www.localfairtrade.org/)<br />
LFTN is a network created by organic, farm worker and cooperative movements to build<br />
a just and healthy food system. Headquarters are in Minneapolis, MN.<br />

NIs are the 20 national organizations that are independent third party certifiers who<br />
oversee the <strong>Fair</strong> <strong>Trade</strong> mark for each country. Trans<strong>Fair</strong> USA is the U.S. National<br />
