v1.0 Hello & welcome to Issue Five of Inside American Football! Issue Five has been a long time coming, much longer than I had intended. The sad reason was that for some reason we didn’t get a great deal of support from BUAFL & it’s teams. I’m grateful to the teams & photographers who did send match reports & shots to us & I hope I have included everything that I received (apologies if something you sent got missed!). April came & with it the drier weather & the start of the BAFACL 2011 season. We have included match reports from the first couple of weeks’ action, but anything sent from May will appear in Issue 6 which I hope to be publishing within three to four weeks, provided we get support from the teams. Early indications are showing the same few teams submitting regular material with a few more sending stuff in for the first time. We hope teams will think that IAF represents a good opportunity to get their team in the limelight & even more will support us. It’s also an ideal opportunity for Associate Teams to keep the community updated with how they are doing and another way to get their name out there, so just because you’re not playing competitive football doesn’t mean we don’t want to hear from you! As always, we are on the lookout for people to send in interesting articles or ideas or for people to join the team and become a regular writer, reporter or photographer. I really would rather fill the pages up with photos from other photographers as this publication was not intended to showcase my own work, so any photographers wanting to get involved please do, we’ll be putting submission guidelines on the website soon. I hope you enjoy this issue. If you have any comments, ideas & suggestions, please get in touch, either via email or through our website. We look forward to hearing from you!
