A brave effort from the Edinburgh<br />
Napier Knights ultimately came up<br />
short losing 28 to 13 against last<br />
season’s National semi-finalists the<br />
Glasgow Tigers.<br />
An early Touchdown pass from<br />
the Tigers to Dave Mann on their<br />
opening drive was quickly offset by<br />
2 TD passes from QB Euan Rennie<br />
to Dominck Weist and Johnathan<br />
Leslie. A single extra point conversion<br />

from Rennie gave the Knights a 13-6<br />
lead just before the half but a quick<br />
response from Glasgow with only 1<br />
minute 40 remaining a 2nd reception<br />
to Mann from QB Gregor Beattie saw<br />
them take a lead of 14-13, into the<br />
break.<br />
A long opening drive during the start<br />
of the 3rd quarter, which saw Glasgow<br />
convert two 4th down conversions,<br />
stretched the away teams lead to 20-13<br />
