148 Fill, Lines, Colors, and Transparency
To add a color (from a selected object):
1. Click Palette Menu and select Add Fill from Selection.
2. In the dialog, choose a name and click OK.
To add a color (directly from any palette):
• Right-click the palette swatch and select Add to Document's Palette.
To add color spreads (using Color Palette Designer):
1. Click Color Palette Designer on the Document Palette's title bar.
2. Choose a Base Color, a Spread (from the drop-down list), and click
either the Add Range or Add All button.
3. Click OK.

To modify or rename a palette swatch:
• Right-click the swatch and choose Edit....
To delete a palette swatch:
• Right-click the swatch and choose Delete....
If any existing objects use the fill, if you delete it, the objects will retain it.
Adding fills to the Document Palette
To add a gradient, mesh, or plasma fill (from a selected object):
1. Click Palette Menu and select Add Fill from Selection.
2. In the dialog, choose a name and click OK.
