forklift truck driver <strong>to</strong> deliver the <strong>to</strong>ol from the <strong>to</strong>ol s<strong>to</strong>rage area <strong>to</strong><br />
machine. In addition, files for <strong>to</strong>ol allocation are kept in the <strong>to</strong>ol<br />
s<strong>to</strong>rage area only. One person is responsible <strong>to</strong> keep the <strong>to</strong>ol. If the<br />
Production <strong>and</strong> Planning controller (who determines the <strong>to</strong>ol change<br />
for all the machines in Birkbys Pl<strong>as</strong>tics Limited) wishes <strong>to</strong> <strong>as</strong>sign new<br />
production, <strong>and</strong> therefore the <strong>to</strong>ol will be changed <strong>and</strong> he h<strong>as</strong> <strong>to</strong><br />
contact the <strong>to</strong>ol s<strong>to</strong>rage personnel. If the person is busy, the production<br />
<strong>and</strong> Planning Controller h<strong>as</strong> <strong>to</strong> go <strong>to</strong> the <strong>to</strong>ol s<strong>to</strong>re himself. Time is<br />
w<strong>as</strong>ted due <strong>to</strong> unnecessary movement.<br />
