HCOP Clinics Fact Sheet<br />
<strong>Hockey</strong> Canada Officiating Program (HCOP)<br />
CLINIC LENGTH<br />
Recertification, Entry Level, and Upgrade Clinics run for a full day. Participants can expect to be in attendance<br />
for 8 hours.<br />
MINIMUM AGE TO ATTEND<br />
A participant must be a minimum of 14 years of age to enter the program.<br />
WHAT DO WORKSHOP PARTICIPANTS RECEIVE?<br />
Participants successfully completing the Entry Level Workshop for new Officials will receive:<br />
• Full day of instruction by an OMHA accredited HCOP Instructor<br />
• OMHA Crest and OHF Patch for the current season<br />
• <strong>Hockey</strong> Canada Cresting<br />
• OMHA Manual of Operations<br />
• <strong>Hockey</strong> Canada Rule Book/Case Book Combination<br />
• OMHA Wallet Card indicating Certification Number<br />
• HCOP Procedures Manual<br />
• Program Handouts<br />
NUMBERING<br />
HCOP Certification must be renewed annually, by attending a Recertification Workshop and completing the<br />
current year’s Rules Examination at the workshop.<br />
A Brief explanation of the numbering system:<br />
R2C0000<br />
*Year of Entry in the Program Level Area 4 digit identifier<br />
*Letter Z indicates Prior to 1990<br />
*0=1990, 1=1991, 2=1992, etc.<br />
*Y=2000, X=2001, W=2002, V=2003, U=2004, T=2005, S=2006, R=2007<br />
