Off-Ice Official Clinic Fact Sheet<br />

OMHA Referees Program<br />

This innovative and unique program has been implemented with great success and positive response from all<br />

involved.<br />

The focus of the workshop is the Off-Ice Official, to help educate them and improve their knowledge for the<br />

important role of an Off-Ice Official in a timekeeper’s box in arenas within the OMHA. It is intended that by<br />

providing support in every aspect of the game, including the important role of the Off-Ice Official, the result will<br />

be an improved hockey experience for all participants.<br />

CLINIC LENGTH<br />

The Clinic is approximately three (3) hours in duration, and recommended presentation is a weekday evening.<br />

FINANCIAL CONSIDERATIONS<br />

The Registration Fee is $13.50 per participant (includes GST).<br />

MINIMUM AGE TO ATTEND<br />

There is no minimum age to attend, but a minimum age of 13 is recommended.<br />

WHAT DO CLINIC PARTICIPANTS RECEIVE?<br />

Participants successfully completing the Off-Ice Officials workshop will receive:<br />

• Instruction by an OMHA accredited HCOP Instructor<br />

• Participant Manual<br />

• Handy reference guide for use at the Arena.<br />

• Sample of the current season’s Game Sheet.<br />

• OMHA Wallet Card<br />
