About 30 families participate in the <strong>Church</strong>’s Tamil service.<br />
Under the leadership of Rev. A. Viswasaraj they participate and<br />
cooperate fully and sincerely in all the activities and programmes<br />
of the <strong>Church</strong>. We express our love and gratitude to Rev.<br />
Viswasaraj.<br />
i. Praise and Worship Service<br />
The above service is being conducted on the last Sunday of<br />
every month from 06.00 p.m. to 07.30 p.m. During the year<br />
<strong>2011</strong>-20<strong>12</strong>, the service was conducted with the active support<br />
of the Young Family Fellowship and the Youth Movement. Our<br />
sincere thanks to the organizers and choir members.<br />
j. Intercessory Prayer<br />
The Special Intercessory Prayer Service was resumed in the<br />
<strong>Church</strong> from September <strong>2011</strong>. From January 20<strong>12</strong> the Special<br />
Prayer is re-scheduled from the second Saturday to the second<br />
Friday of every month at 10.00 a.m. The prayer services are led<br />
by our Vicar and the Assistant Vicar.<br />
<strong>Report</strong> and <strong>Annual</strong> Statement of Accounts <strong>2011</strong>-20<strong>12</strong><br />
k. Golden Age and Almaya Fellowship Programmes<br />
The Quarterly Worship Service of the Golden Age Fellowship<br />
was conducted on <strong>12</strong>.8.<strong>2011</strong> and 14.10.<strong>2011</strong>. The <strong>Annual</strong><br />
Convention organized by the Almaya Fellowship was held on<br />
October 14, 15 and 16, <strong>2011</strong>. Dr. P.C. Mathew, the National<br />
Director of Urban India Ministries was the Convention speaker.<br />
Br. C.E Sarasam translated the speeches into Malayalam.<br />
Section B – <strong>Church</strong> Statistics<br />
1. Membership<br />
The membership of the church was 873 families and subscribing<br />
members were 2036 as on 31.03.20<strong>12</strong>.<br />
2. Baptism<br />
During the year 28 children were baptized. Details are given in<br />
Annexure 7.<br />
3. Marriages<br />
During the year 13 marriages were solemnized in the <strong>Christ</strong><br />
<strong>Church</strong> and six marriages of our members were solemnized in<br />
other churches. Details are given in Annexure 6.<br />
4. Deaths<br />
19 members of the <strong>Christ</strong> <strong>Church</strong> were called to eternity during<br />
the year, of which 18 were buried in our <strong>Church</strong> cemetery, and<br />
the rest in other church cemeteries. Details are in Annexure 5.<br />
5. Website<br />
The church website has been revived and became available<br />
online from September <strong>2011</strong>. The address is<br />
www.csichristchurch.org<br />
6. Tidings<br />
The monthly newsletter of the <strong>Church</strong> continued its publication<br />
without break. It received the Best Parish Newsletter award for<br />
