Hospital Guidance Centre
each year to one student who is the brightest from among the
five, to help her go in for higher studies from the academic year
2014.
The Guidance Centre aims at providing accommodation at
modest rates to the patients and others visiting the city hospitals
for treatment, primarily from MKD Churches. Necessary
arrangements for hospital guidance will also be available. The
committee proposes to commence the centre initially in our own
Old Age Home at Nanthencode, or in any rented building, if
available, near RCC or Medical College.
Regular Medical Clinics/ Camps
This programme envisages conducting of periodical medical
camps in the three Upasabha or Outstation areas – Muttathara,
Karali and Mudavanmughal. The first such camp was conducted
at Muttathara on March 25, 2012. Above 60 people availed of
the medical facilities provided by us.
The project is modeled on the lines of the Marthoma Guidance
Centre in Trivandrum, and the Sevana Nilayam at Arpookara,
Kottayam under the Kanjikuzhy C.S.I. Ascension Church.
Gospel Service to Non- Keralite Labourers
There are around one lakh non-Keralite labourers camping in
Trivandrum and its suburbs. Many of them are Christians. The
intention of the programme is to provide Gospel Services to
them. We understand that many other churches have started this
service among these labourers. Both our Vicars are proficient
in Hindi, and, with the help of volunteers, it should not be
Counselling Centre and Prayer Lines
The establishment of a Counselling Centre and Prayer Cells are
another programme we have planned under the City Mission
Project. As part of this programme, Prayer Lines have been set
up, under which those who are in dire need of consolation and
prayer can dial a number and be guided, consoled, or prayed
