1. Hospital Guidance Centre :<br />

The programme details are as under:<br />

Hospital Guidance Centre<br />

each year to one student who is the brightest from among the<br />

five, to help her go in for higher studies from the academic year<br />

2014.<br />

The Guidance Centre aims at providing accommodation at<br />

modest rates to the patients and others visiting the city hospitals<br />

for treatment, primarily from MKD <strong>Church</strong>es. Necessary<br />

arrangements for hospital guidance will also be available. The<br />

committee proposes to commence the centre initially in our own<br />

Old Age Home at Nanthencode, or in any rented building, if<br />

available, near RCC or Medical College.<br />

Regular Medical Clinics/ Camps<br />

This programme envisages conducting of periodical medical<br />

camps in the three Upasabha or Outstation areas – Muttathara,<br />

Karali and Mudavanmughal. The first such camp was conducted<br />

at Muttathara on March 25, 20<strong>12</strong>. Above 60 people availed of<br />

the medical facilities provided by us.<br />

The project is modeled on the lines of the Marthoma Guidance<br />

Centre in Trivandrum, and the Sevana Nilayam at Arpookara,<br />

Kottayam under the Kanjikuzhy C.S.I. Ascension <strong>Church</strong>.<br />

Gospel Service to Non- Keralite Labourers<br />

There are around one lakh non-Keralite labourers camping in<br />

Trivandrum and its suburbs. Many of them are <strong>Christ</strong>ians. The<br />

intention of the programme is to provide Gospel Services to<br />

them. We understand that many other churches have started this<br />

service among these labourers. Both our Vicars are proficient<br />

in Hindi, and, with the help of volunteers, it should not be<br />

Counselling Centre and Prayer Lines<br />

The establishment of a Counselling Centre and Prayer Cells are<br />

another programme we have planned under the City Mission<br />

Project. As part of this programme, Prayer Lines have been set<br />

up, under which those who are in dire need of consolation and<br />

prayer can dial a number and be guided, consoled, or prayed<br />

for over phone. The names and telephone numbers of the senior<br />

members who have come forward to undertake this service are<br />
