Operation AN/APR-39A(V)1<br />
1. WPN ASE or WEAPON SEL switch ⎯<br />
Position to ASE.<br />
2. ASE SET-UP/BIT page ⎯ Verify appears<br />
on CPG MFD.<br />
NOTE<br />
• The user defined module (UDM) must be<br />
installed in the AN/APR-39A(V)1 prior to<br />
aircraft power up. If the UDM is not<br />
installed, the radar warning indicator will<br />
display a “p” after an initial BIT. An<br />
audio message will annunciate “APR-39<br />
failure.” Any subsequent strobe displays<br />
on the indicator should be considered<br />
unreliable.<br />
• If the AN/APR-39A(V)1 radar detecting<br />
system is not installed, the legend to the<br />
right of L-1 will be blank.<br />
3. PULSE RADAR WARN PWR ⎯ OFF.<br />
Verify displayed on the first line to the<br />
right of L-1.<br />
4. FULL and TERSE ⎯ Verify displayed on<br />
the third line to the right of L-1.<br />
