AN/APR-39A(V)1 mode is controlled by L-<br />
1. Successive presses of L-1 cause the<br />
AN/APR-39A mode to toggle between<br />
FULL and TERSE modes.<br />
5. L-1 ⎯ Press until the system is set to the<br />
FULL mode as indicated by the boxed<br />
FULL.<br />
6. RADAR WARN circuit breaker/switch ⎯<br />
In/WARN. Verify that the legend to the<br />
right of L-1 changes to PULSE RADAR<br />
WARN PWR ⎯ ON and VOICE APR-39<br />
power up should be heard AVR-2 PWR<br />
ON should also be present.<br />
NOTE<br />
Allow one minute for system warmup.<br />
7. R-1 ⎯ Press to initiate system BIT.<br />
8. SELF-TEST SET VOLUME 1 through 12<br />
⎯ Verify synthetic voice count is heard<br />
on the headset.<br />
9. Volume ⎯ Adjust audio level while count<br />
is taking place and verify proper volume<br />
control operation.<br />
10. RWR system indicator ⎯ Verify displays<br />
the numbers of operational flight program<br />
(OFP) and emitter identification data<br />
(EID).<br />
NOTE<br />
If a fault is noted, the display shall show<br />
two triangles for the aft and forward<br />
location, with the faulty receiver blinking.<br />
11. Indicator ⎯ Verify forward and aft<br />
receivers triangles appear at 6 and 12<br />
o’clock.<br />
