If the ISP/ R MCPU fails, the AN/AVR-<br />
2A will operate in the backup default<br />
mode. While operating in the default mode<br />
the AN/AVR-2A will continue to provide<br />
normal function with the following<br />
exceptions: current system power status<br />
will not be displayed on the ASE SET-UP/<br />
BIT page. Aural warning will be reduced in<br />
amplitude.<br />
1. RADAR WARN circuit breaker/switch ⎯<br />
In/RADAR. Allow 1-minute warmup.<br />
2. AVR-2A PWR ⎯ Check ON displays.<br />
3. PULSE RADAR WARNING BIT key ⎯<br />
Press. Four asterisks will appear<br />
simultaneously. A faulty AN/AVR-2A<br />
quadrant is shown as a flashing asterisk.<br />
No audio announcement is associated<br />
with the AN/AVR-2A self-test.<br />
4. BRIL control ⎯ Rotate, check indicator<br />
illumination.<br />
5. Volume ⎯ Adjust as required.<br />
