Switch your account the easy way –
pop into your nearest branch
If you have a current account with
another bank, the idea of moving it
might seem daunting. But rest assured,
our dedicated Switching Team will
take care of things for you. So, if you
haven’t already made the move, switch
to us now.
Just sign two forms
Our dedicated Switching Team will
arrange the transfer of your regular
payments like your salary, pension or
tax credits to your new Halifax current
account including your direct debits
and standing orders. We’ll do this by
contacting your existing bank and any
companies that make payments to you.
All you need to do is to sign two forms
and the team will do the rest.
Fee-free overdraft for the first
three months
While your switch is taking place we
offer a fee-free planned overdraft,
subject to status, for the first three
months to help you cover payments
that need to be made.
We’ll tell you when your fee-free
overdraft will start and end. After your
fee-free period our daily overdraft
fees will apply. We’ve kept these
simple, so you’ll always know exactly
how much an overdraft costs you.
