an employer group plan, you must use
the benefits of that plan for the first thirty
(30) months after becoming eligible for
Medicare based on end stage renal disease
(ESRD). Medicare is the primary payer after
this coordination period. However, if your
employer group plan coverage was secondary
to Medicare when you developed end stage
renal disease (ESRD) because it was not based
on current employment as described above,
Medicare continues to be the primary payer.
