Sunbathing has positive impact <strong>on</strong> human<br />
organism if it is d<strong>on</strong>e correctly according to<br />
medical recommendati<strong>on</strong>s. The sun promotes<br />
syn<strong>the</strong>sis of vitamin D and streng<strong>the</strong>ns<br />
body. While sunbathing, it is necessary to<br />
cover head with sunshade or kerchief, also<br />
it is recommended to sunba<strong>the</strong> around 10<br />
o’clock when <strong>the</strong> air is cooler and cleaner or in<br />
evening hours when intensity of sunrays has<br />
decreased and heat does not cause additi<strong>on</strong>al<br />
load <strong>on</strong> heart and blood circulatory system.<br />

The basis of sun dosage is gradual<br />
adaptati<strong>on</strong> of body to sun rays. After sunbathing<br />
it is recommended to have 10 to 20<br />
minutes of rest in shadow, a shower or a bath<br />
in <strong>the</strong> sea.<br />

Sea <strong>the</strong>rapy (thalasso<strong>the</strong>rapy) is healing and<br />
recreati<strong>on</strong> of organism with sea climate, sea<br />
water and natural sea products.<br />
Nowadays for thalasso<strong>the</strong>rapy procedures<br />
a wide choice of natural sea product’s<br />
cosmetics and newest technologies<br />
are used.<br />
The influence of swimming <strong>on</strong> your health<br />
depends <strong>on</strong> water temperature, salt c<strong>on</strong>tent<br />
and strength of <strong>wave</strong>s. There are also some<br />
recommendati<strong>on</strong>s for swimming:<br />
• Swim at no<strong>on</strong> when <strong>the</strong> water and <strong>the</strong> air<br />
are warm enough, as well as 1 to 2 hours after<br />
eating, it is especially referable to pers<strong>on</strong>s with<br />
health troubles;<br />
• Healthy people can swim also in <strong>the</strong> morning<br />
before breakfast;<br />
• D<strong>on</strong>’t swim in case of str<strong>on</strong>g <strong>wave</strong>s;<br />
• Dry <strong>the</strong> body with a towel after<br />

Psammo<strong>the</strong>rapy – treatment with hot (40 –<br />
46 oC) sand that can be used during <strong>the</strong> hot<br />
summer days. The body should be covered<br />
with sand in a layer of 15cm, remaining<br />
uncovered <strong>the</strong> area where heart is located.<br />
The head must be in shade. The durati<strong>on</strong> of<br />
sand bath must be 20 to 30 minutes. The<br />
treatment increases metabolism, and has<br />
resolving and pain relieving qualities.
