Will contribute to an active research <strong>and</strong> development program aimed to enhance security on<br />
commercial operating systems. Will develop kernel modifications, software wrappers, <strong>and</strong><br />
improved attack detection algorithms.<br />
Qualifications: BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or relevant<br />
engineering discipline. Should have experience <strong>and</strong> interest in operating system kernel<br />
development, audit systems, or network security. Knowledge of loadable kernel modules <strong>and</strong><br />
host security is required, as is programming experience with C, C++, or Java. (62-02-07)<br />

COMPUTER SCIENTIST OR EMBEDDED SYSTEMS ANALYST<br />
Will develop advanced embedded digital systems with the capability to process sensor signals<br />
in real time. Responsibilities may include advanced computing architectures <strong>and</strong> middleware<br />
technologies; software architectures for rapid signal processing algorithm insertion on massively<br />
parallel processors, programmable logic devices, <strong>and</strong> advanced integrated circuits; real-time<br />
signal processors for sensor system applications; <strong>and</strong> service-oriented architectures for<br />
multisensor tasking, processing, <strong>and</strong> dissemination.<br />
Qualifications: MS or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical<br />
Engineering. Expertise required for this position must include one or more of the following<br />
disciplines: digital communications systems, signal <strong>and</strong> image processing, scientific grid<br />
computing, networking <strong>and</strong> web services, artificial intelligence, cognitive computing, knowledge<br />
engineering, <strong>and</strong> pattern recognition. Strong communication skills, both oral <strong>and</strong> written, are<br />
