analysis, design, <strong>and</strong> testing applied to the development of complex hardware from conceptual<br />
design through fabrication <strong>and</strong> performance evaluation. Must have an interest in working on a<br />
broad range of challenging problems involving structures, mechanisms, thermal systems, fluid<br />
dynamics, <strong>and</strong> optics. Work involves close-knit teams with design, analysis, <strong>and</strong> test personnel.<br />
May require special security clearances <strong>and</strong> travel to meetings <strong>and</strong> field sites.<br />
Qualifications: MS or PhD in Mechanical or Aero-Astro Engineering. Must have demonstrated<br />
ability to produce professional oral presentations <strong>and</strong> written reports. Experience in hardware<br />

Qualifications: MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Optics, System Engineering,<br />
or Astronomy. Knowledge of sensors, data processing, <strong>and</strong> complex system testing is required.<br />

SYSTEMS ENGINEER<br />
Will lead the development, analysis, implementation, <strong>and</strong> testing of data processing algorithms<br />
for biological, chemical, <strong>and</strong> electro-optical sensors. Will work with a small team of analysts<br />
<strong>and</strong> software developers to implement robust data processing algorithms.<br />
Qualifications: Experience in electro-optical system analysis, statistical decision theory,<br />
<strong>and</strong> algorithm development is required. Must be cognizant of the trade-offs between system<br />
performance <strong>and</strong> operational constraints. A working knowledge of high-level programming<br />
languages, such as C++ <strong>and</strong> MATLAB, <strong>and</strong> experience with UNIX-based processing systems<br />
