A red-letter day
for quick-mix
Official inauguration of first plant in Russia
“Good things come to those who wait,” said Prof. Hans-Wolf Sievert
in his speech at the inauguration of the first quick-mix plant in Russia,
referring to the fact that it had taken longer to build the plant than
originally planned. However, this could not diminish one bit the
delight at having it all finished. Quite the contrary, spirits were high
and everyone on hand unanimously agreed that quick-mix has once
again decisively improved its already good chances on the promising
Russian market by setting up the new plant.
“For the Russian quick-mix
company, the inauguration of
the first plant in Russia means
moving into an entirely different
sort of quality. As early as this
summer, after the equipment
has been fully assembled and
mounted, we will proudly be
able to call ourselves a Russian
manufacturer.”
More than 250 invited guests came
to Noginsk on June 10 to inaugurate
the biggest foreign quick-mix plant so
and plants in Luxemburg, Poland, the
Czech Republic and China. “The volume
of investment was also big,” said
Prof. Sievert, “quick-mix invested 20
Euro million in Russia. That is a lot of
money for a medium-sized company
like ourselves. But we are sure that
this investment in the Russian market
will pay off.”
The inauguration of the plant in
Noginsk is the high point so far of
quick-mix’ business on the Russian
market, which began four years ago.
Moscow-based ZAO quick-mix was
founded in April 2006. In the same
year, the company decided to acquire
the property in the Noginsk cluster,
around 60 kilometers east of Moscow.
Apart from quick-mix, other wellknown
German companies have set
up production or storage facilities in
today’s “Noginsk Technopark”.
The grounds cover around 3.64
hectares. The dry mortar plant was
set up for a capacity of up to 100,000
metric tons per year (capable of being
enlarged to 150,000 metric tons).
When building the plant, special
attention was also paid to the low
