● Computation of standard deviation:<br />
● Typically g = 0.75<br />
● Standard timeout interval:<br />
devRTT = g × devRTT + (1 – g) × |RTT – sampleRTT |<br />
Timeout = RTT + 4 × devRTT<br />
● The factor 4 was determined on the one hand by trying out, on the other hand<br />
because it is fast and simple to use in computations.<br />
