<strong>Goulburn</strong>-Murray <strong>Water</strong><br />
<strong>Goulburn</strong>-Murray <strong>Water</strong> (G-MW) manages<br />
water storages, the supply channel <strong>and</strong> drainage<br />
infrastructure in the SIR. G-MW is the major<br />
partner in the delivery of the Salinity Program under<br />
the SIRCIS through the Sub-surface Drainage <strong>and</strong><br />
Community Surface <strong>Water</strong> Management Programs.<br />
Department of Primary Industries<br />
The Department of Primary Industries (DPI) is<br />
responsible for delivering the key objectives of the<br />
SIRCIS in natural resource management. The DPI<br />
implements the Farm <strong>and</strong> Environment Programs<br />
<strong>and</strong>, in conjunction with G-MW, the Community<br />
Surface <strong>Water</strong> Management <strong>and</strong> Sub-surface<br />
Drainage Programs.<br />
Local Government<br />
Local Government is a key partner, providing<br />
Statutory <strong>and</strong> Strategic Planning, participating in<br />
cost-sharing for the SIRCIS <strong>and</strong> providing a link<br />
with the broader community. Local Government,<br />
jointly with the GB CMA, funds a coordinator to<br />
ensure that the partnership operates effectively. This<br />
involves the Municipalities of the City of Greater<br />
Shepparton, the Moira Shire <strong>and</strong> the Shire of<br />
Campaspe.<br />
<strong>Goulburn</strong> Valley <strong>Water</strong><br />
<strong>Goulburn</strong> Valley <strong>Water</strong> (GVW) provides urban<br />
water supply <strong>and</strong> wastewater services in the SIR.<br />
