Secondary <strong>School</strong><br />
Amanda Allen<br />
Amanda’s future plans include going to Camosun College and taking<br />
photography courses. She enjoys playing soccer and hanging out with<br />
friends. Her favourite teacher is Mr. Neal because of his ability to<br />
relate to students. Amanda would like to thank and acknowledge her<br />
parents, siblings and teachers for all their support throughout the years.<br />
Amanda stated that she doesn’t really have a role model, instead, she<br />
tries to do whatever her heart tells her. Her advice to fellow students,<br />
“Learn from your mistakes, follow your heart and stay out of the drama.”<br />
Akela Brougham<br />
Akela’s future plans are to become an Education Assistant so that she<br />
can help people with special needs. Her favourite teacher has been Mr.<br />
Dohlywal. In 2011 she received a Senior Peer Tutoring Award and in her<br />
spare time loves to dance. Akela would like to thank and acknowledge<br />
her mom and dad for all their support and encouragement. Her advice<br />
to fellow students is a healthy one, “Stay in school, don’t do drugs, drink<br />
or smoke.”<br />
James MacLeod<br />
James’s future plans are to play College rugby. His favourite teacher<br />
has been Miss. McKenzie because she enjoys and is good at playing<br />
sports. James would like to acknowledge his father for all the support<br />
he has given him throughout the years. His role model is Mohammad Ali,<br />
who believed in his rights and freedom to be himself. His advice to<br />
fellow students, “Don’t do drugs, do not listen to negativity, and learn<br />
from your mistakes.”<br />
