Amanda Allen
Amanda’s future plans include going to Camosun College and taking
photography courses. She enjoys playing soccer and hanging out with
friends. Her favourite teacher is Mr. Neal because of his ability to
relate to students. Amanda would like to thank and acknowledge her
parents, siblings and teachers for all their support throughout the years.
Amanda stated that she doesn’t really have a role model, instead, she
tries to do whatever her heart tells her. Her advice to fellow students,
“Learn from your mistakes, follow your heart and stay out of the drama.”
Akela Brougham
Akela’s future plans are to become an Education Assistant so that she
can help people with special needs. Her favourite teacher has been Mr.
Dohlywal. In 2011 she received a Senior Peer Tutoring Award and in her
spare time loves to dance. Akela would like to thank and acknowledge
her mom and dad for all their support and encouragement. Her advice
to fellow students is a healthy one, “Stay in school, don’t do drugs, drink
or smoke.”
James MacLeod
James’s future plans are to play College rugby. His favourite teacher
has been Miss. McKenzie because she enjoys and is good at playing
sports. James would like to acknowledge his father for all the support
he has given him throughout the years. His role model is Mohammad Ali,
who believed in his rights and freedom to be himself. His advice to
fellow students, “Don’t do drugs, do not listen to negativity, and learn
from your mistakes.”
