Gordon Lesage<br />
Métis<br />
Gordon’s favourite teacher is Mr. Vanakker because “he’s always in a<br />
good mood and can make me laugh.” His future plans include further<br />
training in Computer Programming with a focus on gaming and coding. His<br />
favourite hobbies are gaming and hanging out with friends. He would like<br />
to thank Ms. Wong who “greatly helped me through English 11 and 12”,<br />
and Ms. Maxwell who pushed me to stay focused on graduation. His role<br />
model is his mother, mainly because she inspired him to get an education<br />
to ensure a successful life. His advice to other students is, “Stick<br />
through countless boring hours: it’s worth it in the long run and staying<br />
home isn’t any more fun!”<br />
Neikko McNeil<br />
Neikko is Aboriginal and proud! His favourite teacher is Mr. Pine because<br />
he is “very relaxed and he gives me time to do my work”. Neikko plans on<br />
attending Camosun College to continue his training in carpentry. He likes<br />
to play hockey and other sports. He would like to thank Ms. Tenning for<br />
her support and encouragement over the years. His role model is his<br />
father. Neikko’s advice for other students is, “If you go to class you will<br />
pass, if you pass you will graduate, so go to class!”<br />
Bernice Napoleon<br />
Tseshaht<br />
Bernice’s favourite assistant is JoAnn Rooke “because she has helped me<br />
with my work ever since grade 1 at Craigflower.” Bernice plans on a career<br />
in social work as a counsellor. Her favourite hobbies are reading, playing<br />
video games and listening to music. She would like to thank her family,<br />
especially her mom and sisters, for their support and encouragement over<br />
the years. Her advice to other students is, “If you’re struggling, don’t give<br />
up, stay in school!”<br />
