Industrial Ethernet
Industrial Ethernet for photovoltaic systems
Active and passive components for efficient networking in your
photovoltaic systems
The aim of using components from the Industrial Ethernet branch, is that all
devices within a system network together using just one bus technology for
the whole system. Thereby process data and diagnostic functions can be
exchanged independently of the device between the network participants,
and also centrally monitored and controlled. Weidmüller offers for the
networking of PV systems a comprehensive line of active and passive
networking components.
This consists of the following individual components:
• Unmanaged and managed switches
• Media converters
• Power-over-Ethernet Switches
• Industrial wireless components
• Serial/Ethernet converters
• Plug-in connectors for copper and fibre optic transmission
Media flexibility
Media converters for conversion
between copper and glass fibre
media as well as for bridging larger
distances for applications over a
wide area.
Investment protection
Serial/Ethernet converters allow access to
components with serial interfaces over
the Ethernet network, like controllers,
measuring devices or inverters for
example.
