Julio Farías Cabello was a very promising player during his junior stage, when
he was part of the different National Teams, such as U19 and U21, and was
very close to be in the list of selected players for the 1999 Rugby World Cup.
His great versatility allows him to play as second row as well as third row, a
feature which offers more options to the trainers at the moment of making
decisions. The player from Tucumán Rugby Club won the Vodacom Cup this
year with Pampas XV. Last year, he accompanied the Pumas in their tour
around Italy, Ireland and France, and this year he wore the Argentine shirt
against the French Barbarians and the team Sudámerica Invitación, in the last
game the Pumas played in their own country.
Did you know? Farías Cabello played his first match with the Pumas when he
was 32 years old, only three months after joining the UAR High Performance
Plan. Due to Manuel Carriza's injury, he was summoned in an urge to join the
Pumas' tour and managed to make his debut showing great attributes.
