Nicolás first played with the Pumas in December 2005, in the test match against
Samoa. After that first experience, he became part of the preliminary squad for
he 2007 RWC, though in the end he was not appointed for the tournament. His
opportunity came the following year, when he started achieving a strong
position in the National Team while playing all the 2008 matches under Santiago
Phelan's coaching. From his initial Jockey Club in Rosario, Vergallo moved to
his first professional rugby club, Dax, four seasons ago. After that, he was
part of the elite lines in Toulouse, where he is currently playing.
