non-urban settings, whereby special attention will be
put on integrated solutions
6 Learning outcomes After completion of the module, students will be
familiar with a number of alternative and low-cost
solutions to urban sanitation infrastructure. They will,
therefore, be able to discuss these options with civil
engineers, developers, residents, and other
stakeholders in the course of project formulation in
countries of the South.
