SECTION V. FORSCOM CARGO FORMS<br />
A. GENERAL<br />
When loading organic cargo onto a vehicle, certain <strong>for</strong>ms must be completed and<br />
maintained.<br />
This section is a general guide <strong>for</strong> the use of FORSCOM Form 285-R, Vehicle Load<br />
Card and DD Form 1750, Packing List. Refer to FORSCOM/ARNG Reg <strong>55</strong>-1, Unit<br />
Movement Planning, <strong>for</strong> more detailed guidance.<br />
B. FORSCOM FORM 285-R<br />
FORSCOM Form 285-R (fig 80) is used <strong>for</strong> developing and recording a unit’s<br />
organic vehicle cargo load and is included in the unit’s movement plan. It will reflect a<br />
general description and location of all items in the cargo bed to include boxed/crated<br />
items. In<strong>for</strong>mation on dimensions, weights, and cubes <strong>for</strong> all Army equipment is<br />
contained in the CD-ROM and worldwide web versions of TB <strong>55</strong>-46-1. The following<br />
general guidance is provided to assist in completing this <strong>for</strong>m:<br />
1. Drivers and assistant drivers are not normally added to the weight of the vehicle.<br />
However, on HMMWVs and CUCVs, all personnel on board, including drivers and<br />
assistant drivers, must be computed as part of the payload to avoid overloading the<br />
vehicle.<br />
2. When transporting personnel in the cargo compartment, a planning factor of 245<br />
pounds <strong>for</strong> each soldier will be used.<br />
