1.8.06 Trent Country Park
At Trent Country Park a number of modest
improvement projects are underway or planned
for the near future. These include A £300,000 car
park improvement project, Heritage Lottery Funded
£50,000 renovations of the Japanese water garden,
a new pathfinder play area, the creation of a youth
fishing club, and the renewal of a trail for the visually
impared.
Through the Green Grid consultation process,
an opportunity to build upon these small scale
improvements has been identified in order to
maximise the potential of the Park. It has been
suggested that a high-level study might re-appraise
the nature and location of key facilities within the
Park. The objective of such a study would be to

explore ways of improving access to the park for
neighbouring communities and visitors, and to attract
a greater number and diversity of users - providing
further strategic direction for future projects. For
the urban communities of north London, Trent
Country Park could become both an increasingly vital
destination in it’s own right, and a key gateway to the
wide open spaces of the Green Belt and beyond.
