Y
look o out for new programs, hints and
tips, u articles and even regular series. In
fact if you have something that you
think
r
could be of use to other Commodore
C owners we want to hear about it.
o So if you have got something which
you m think we may be interested in.
How m do you go about submitting it to
us?
o
d
Below you will find a list of guidelines
that will help us to deal with any
o
item that you send in to us. We don't
expect r everybody to be the next
William e Shakespeare but if you do
follow i these simple rules then it will
make s our job a lot easier.
a
1) l If possible all material sent to the
magazine w should be typed or printed
out on a computer printer.
a
y
2) s All text should be double spaced i.e.
there
o
should be a blank line between
each line of text. You should also leave
n
a margin of about 10 characters
around t the text.
h
3) e On the very first page you should
put the following:
Name of the article
Machine that it is for
Any extras required — disk, printer
etc.
Your name
Your address
Your telephone number
4) The top of every page should have
the following information on it:
Abbreviation of the article title
Your name
The page number
READERS SUBMISSIONS
So you own a Commodore? So you've
written some programs? So why haven't you
sent them to us?
For example, suppose you had
submitted an article on CM interrupts.
You should put something like the
following at the head of the page:
I nterrupts/J.Smith/1
5) Please make sure that you do not
make any additional marks on your
text especially underlining.
6) Try and write in clear concise
English. it does not have to be a work
of literature but it must be comprehensible.
7) On the bottom of each page you
should put the word MORE if there
are more pages to the article or ENDS
if it is the last page.
8) If possible, enclose a listing of all
programs.
9) Under no circumstances use a
staple to hold the pages together. Use a
paperclip instead.
10) Programs should be included on
either disk or tape. Make sure that you
SAVE two copies of every program so
that we have a better chance of loading
them if problems occur.
11) Programs under 10 lines can be
included in the text. If your program is
longer than this you must enclose a
disk or cassette.
12) If your article needs any artwork
then supply clear examples of what is
needed. We don't expect you to be an
artist but we do need to see what is
required.
YOUR COMMODORE january 1987
32
13) Photographs, if necessary, must
be either black and white prints or
colour slides, We can take shots ourselves
so don't worry about this too
much.
14) Submissions of any length are
welcome. If you have a five line routine
that you think may be of use to
someone else we welcome it just as
much as a full blown six part series.
15) Payment varies quite a lot and depends
on quite a number of factors,
such as complexity of program,
presentation of program, number of
magazine pages it takes up etc. Payment
is generally between £10.00 and
800.00.
16) All payments are made in the
month that the magazine containing
your article has appeared in print.
17) If we do find your submission
suitable for inclusion in the magazine
we will write to you giving the terms of
publication, the rate of payment and
an agreement form. Prompt return of
this form will allow us to use your
program as soon as possible.
18) If you want the program returning
to you, should we find it unsuitable
for publication, then you should
enclose a stamped self addressed
envelope.
19) The last and most important point
to make is 'get writing', we are waiting
for your articles.

Hooray! Your file is uploaded and ready to be published.
