winter, the earth begins to recover. From the chaos
thas
emerged a new race of man. Strong, brave and hardy, but
epeaceful
and simple too. The only shadow over their lives is
Suddenly, from the sky appears a strange peril. An alien
But the young race does not give up hope. Secretely they
l The first thing to do is to get through the forest. avoiding
e the many extraterrestrial bugs which lurk there, and reach
nthe
armour. When you get to it you'll find that you need antigravity
boots and a blaster. So you have to get out of the
u
armour and find the boots which are at the top of a tree, then
get
c
back to the suit and float about to find the blaster.
l
All of this involves an awful lot of death destruction,
emainly.
for you, because when you're not in the suit with your
blaster, a the only way you can kill anything is by chucking
r rocks at them. However you're aim's not bad so there's hope
of h Ariolasoft. You're a marble, and you have to negotiate
various i 3D mazes. The problem with being a marble is that
it's s very difficult to control our movements. A gentle shove
with o the joystick to the left and you find yourself careering
off the edge of the play area into an abyss.
n
Level one (of six) breaks you in quite gently and it may be
e
worth your while hanging around a bit on this one just to get
the i hang on the controls. Each level has its own music, level
two's s is very good, level four sounds like a chimp has been let
loose a on a synth!
s To be honest, I couldn't really get addicted, although I
know t people who are. One of the main reasons for this is that
each r level loads separately from disk and this seems to take
an a awfully long time. The apparent reason for this is the
sophistication n
of the graphics and sound. The graphics are
truely g wonderful, with beautiful colours and very effective
Hazards to avoid include marble eating worms. steelies
which
bonuses to be gained if you get them first. There are vacuum
r
cleaners which suck you off course and plenty of slopes and
bumps n to send you spinning into oblivion.
e
If you like a game which is totally frustrating and very
different f then this may keep you occupied for hours even if
On the whole it's quite a nice 1 game. graphics are it's r only to stare at the fascinating mazes. Definitely worth a
