Being a Hampshire girl, whose last position
was in the City of London, the move to
Ampleforth was life changing! Having worked
in the Development Team for over a year
now and never looking back to the bustling
city, I was delighted to be asked to take on the
role of the Ampleforth Society and Old
Amplefordian Assistant. It is no exaggeration
to say that the Old Amplefordians compose
not only a network but a family, joined by the
compass for life which the valley provides
them with as they leave the College.
I am honoured to work with many of you on
planning reunions, club events and through
good old fashioned correspondence! The
Development Office are planning to increase
the number of annual reunions, events and
gatherings of OAs, so please do get involved
and let me know your thoughts and ideas.

future.

Tom Miller
Having been a York lad all my life it is
wonderful to have found a calling here at
Ampleforth, it is such a calm and inspiring
place to come to each day, and I have felt
nothing but warmth and welcoming from
everyone I have met here so far.
I keep our database in order here in the
Development Office to make sure the
information held is all present and accurate, as
well as maintaining and evolving the web
presence for our Old Amplefordian
community. Having specialised in online
marketing communication at university, I am
thrilled to be working with the Old
Amplefordians website and new OAs Online
network. These projects have great scope to
add a real richness to the community for
future years to come and I feel privileged to
be part of it.
