Introduction
1.4 Ventura Remote PLC as a Field Bus Unit
The purpose of PLCs is to control machines, facilities etc.
To fulfil its task, it needs to exchange data with the
process controlled which it normally does via inputs and
outputs.
Ventura Remote PLC is a standalone controller
programmed using CoDeSys and equipped with local
digital and analogue I/Os and an incremental encoder
input. Install any of the modules from the Ventura Remote
I/O system to expand its possibilities.
Ventura Remote PLC has the added capability of
exchanging data via PROFIBUS-DP and CANopen which
makes it an intelligent I/O unit for use in PROFIBUS or
CANopen networks.
� Time-critical processes can be controlled without
delays caused by field bus communication.
� Distributed intelligence relieves the master controller
and improves the performance and flexibility of the
machine.
