MARCO TEÓRICO Cabezal de rotación: Tiene como función principal aguantar el peso de la sarta de cabillas y hacer rotar la misma, esta ajustado a una caja de velocidad variable con su respectiva caja de engranajes (ver figura 2.8). Las principales funciones del cabezal giratorio son las siguientes: • Transmitir a la sarta de cabillas el movimiento rotatorio que se origina del torque que suministra la unidad motriz. • Soportar la carga axial ocasionada por: 14

MARCO TEÓRICO Motor: Se encarga de accionar el cabezal giratorio a través de un conjunto de poleas y cadenas. Este puede ser eléctrico, de combustión interna o hidráulicos.
