54 A V E N I D A S / A V E N U E S Avenida Perú Peru Avenue Dentro de los tradicionales paseos por las confortables y atractivas calles de Viña del Mar nos encontraremos con una de las más importantes y preferidas por los turistas; Avenida Perú, cuya construcción data del año 1930. Ubicada entre calle Uno Norte y Avenida San Martín, emerge como un punto de encuentro de los turistas que llegan fascinados por la Belleza de sus aceras y su mágica cercanía con la costa separada sólo por un conjunto de rocas, sobre las cuales muchos pasan largas horas contemplando el horizonte o bien, observando una romántica puesta de sol. Entre sus múltiples atractivos, podremos apreciar restaurantes y cafés, además del clásico Casino Enjoy. En su parte central, la zona está adornada por la Plaza Colombia, lugar donde es frecuente encontrar presentaciones de títeres que entretienen a los más pequeños, además de triciclos para niños y múltiples juegos infantiles. A V E N I D A S / A V E N U E S 55 Los más grandes también tienen la oportunidad de jugar, un servicio que ofrece este lugar es el arriendo de bicicletas dobles y cuádruples para disfrutar de un paseo lleno de aventuras en un entorno donde se combina la naturaleza y la modernidad de los edificios colindantes. Otro de los servicios, es el paseo a bordo de Victorias, elegantes carruajes que permiten recorrer la ciudad al estilo del siglo XIX. Avanzando por la Avenida Perú, podremos llegar hasta playa Acapulco, donde tendremos la posibilidad de bajar a la playa o bien recorrer su costa a través de una sendero de madera que nos llevará al sector del Muelle Vergara y a la feria de artesanos que caracteriza el lugar, en el trascurso de este tramo, llama la atención esculturas de arena producidas por un grupo de artistas locales. En definitiva, Avenida Perú constituye uno de los paseos preferidos por los turistas quienes aparte de disfrutar del abanico de actividades y lugares de entretención, tendrán la singular oportunidad de sentir el rocío del mar en su rostro, además de escuchar el imponente estruendo de las olas al chocar con las rocas del borde costero.
